Night routine for fading dark marks
Not sure this routine fits your marks? Identify your dark mark.
At night, your skin repairs itself. A calm, targeted routine helps dark marks fade while you sleep without stressing your barrier.
What your night routine should do
Evening skincare can be slightly richer and more treatment-focused than the morning because you are not going out into the sun straight afterwards.
- Remove makeup, sunscreen, and daily build-up without leaving skin tight.
- Apply targeted treatments to dark marks, such as brightening serums or correctors.
- Seal everything in with a nourishing moisturiser or tissue oil.
Simple night routine steps
This three- or four-step routine works well for most melanin-rich skin types.
- 1. Double cleanse if you wore makeup or heavy sunscreen, or cleanse once on bare skin using Tissue Oil Skin Repair Face Wash.
- 2. Swap to Oil Control Deep Cleansing Face Wash only if you are oily or breakout-prone.
- 3. Apply A-Firm Brightening Even Tone Serum over your whole face.
- 4. Dot A-Firm Brightening Targeted Corrector on stubborn marks if needed.
- 5. Finish with A-Firm Brightening Even Tone Night Cream to seal everything in.
If your skin gets flaky or stingy, reduce the Oil Control wash to a few nights a week and lean on the Tissue Oil Skin Repair Face Wash and night cream to calm your barrier.
Recommended Justine products for nights
Introduce stronger treatments slowly and never combine too many active products at once. If your skin feels hot, stingy, or very dry, step back and focus on moisture and barrier support.
Avoid combining exfoliants, retinoids, and strong brighteners on the same night unless guided.
Educational only. Not medical advice. Stop using any product that makes your skin very irritated, painful, or swollen, and see a doctor or dermatologist for serious, spreading, or persistent concerns.
Routine steps
- Cleanse gently to avoid stripping the barrier.
- Brighten with a serum; use targeted corrector only on stubborn marks.
- Moisturise to keep skin comfortable.
- Protect every morning with SPF 30-50.
Common mistakes
- Layering too many strong actives on sensitive areas.
- Skipping sunscreen after adding brightening products.
- Swapping products too quickly to “speed up” fading.
